Escambia Academy finished 1-1 last week, defeating Lighthouse 8-3 on March 8, and falling 12-11 to Ezekiel on March 11.

Caleb Davis earned the win on the mound, striking out seven and allowing three hits in 3.3 innings.

Kanye Hooks went 1-for-1 with a walk, a double adn three RBIs; Sam Fields went 2-for-2 with two runs and two stolen bases.

Ezekiel 12, EA 11

Randal Bonds took the loss against Ezekiel.

JJ Stevents went 4-for-4 with a walk and three RBIs; Fields and Jacob Lee went 2-for-2 each. Fields had an RBI and a stolen base, and Lee had two RBIs.

“We’ve got to stop hurting ourselves with walks on the mound and unforced errors,” EA baseball coach Mike Sims said. “When we play solid defense, we are tought to beat because we have great team speed and are able to make plays athletically as a whole other team’s can’t make.”
