Charles Wayne Rutherford, 68, of Poarch, passed away on March 8, 2021 in Atmore.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1953 in Atmore to Charles Webster Rutherford and the late, Myrtle Stacey Emmons. He is a Vietnam War era veteran who served honorably in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Stacey Emmons; and his sister, Teresa Rutherford Ammons.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Stella Rolin Rutherford; his son, Christopher (Jennifer) Rutherford of Poarch; his daughter, Brandi Rutherford of Poarch; his father, Charles Webster (Debbie) Rutherford of Atmore; his step-brothers, Rusty (Mandy) Emmons of Atmore and Thomas Grey Emmons of Foley; his sister, Kristina Rutherford of Atmore; his brother in law, Gary Anderson of Atmore; his grandchildren; Wyatt (Patricia) Rutherford, Rowdy Rutherford, Melea (Evan) Graham, Sophia Rutherford, Kaylee (Tyler)Sanspree, Addi Jones, Macey Jones and Brooke Presley; and a special friend, Theresa Rutherford.
Funeral service was held on March 12, 2021 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
