Flash flood watch issued for Escambia County
Rain is in the forecast through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS Mobile office said on its Facebook page Tuesday that a multi-day heavy rainfall event will unfold through the end of the week.
Escambia County EMA Director David Adams said Tuesday morning that NWS has issued a flash flood watch for southwest Alabama, including the county, for this evening through Friday morning.
“ A significant weather system is moving into our area from the west and will impact our area through this time,” Adams said.
Additionally, there’s also a risk of severe storms through the period.
