A wind advisory is in effect until 10 tonight for Escambia County (Ala. and Fla.) and Baldwin County, Ala., according to the National Weather Service.

South winds 15-25 miles per hour (mph) with gusts up to 30-40 mph are expected in portions of south central and southwest Alabama, northwest Florida and southeast Mississippi, forecasters said.

For the Atmore area, scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly and a thunderstorm after 2 p.m.

It will remain cloudy with a high near 78 degrees.

Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

The area is under a slight risk of storm potential.
