COVID: ECHA reports 4 additional cases since March 23

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today that 1,583 cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of its two hospitals.
This is an increase of four cases since the March 23 report.
According to a release, 955 (even) cases have been reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, and 628 (plus four) from D.W. McMillan Memorial in Brewton since the last update.
At ACH, 4,471 specimens have been collected, 3,467 have been negative with one pending and 48 inconclusive.
At DWM, 3,902 specimens have been collected with 3,241 negative results, one pending and 32 inconclusive.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 3,856 confirmed cases have been reported out of Escambia County. Some 805 specimens have been collected over the last 14 days.
Seventy-four people have died in the county.
The numbers are updated biweekly to help reflect current case numbers from the ECHA. Due to the timing of the informatin, the numbers may differe from the numbers on the ADPH’s website.
Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
