ECHA: 4 additional COVID cases reported since April 9

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today that 1,589 cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of its two hospitals.
The latest number is an increase of four cases ince the April 9 report.
According to a release, 958 (plus two) cases have been reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, and 631 (plus two) from D.W. McMillan Memorial in Brewton since the last update.
At ACH, 4,566 specimens have been collected, 3,558 have been negative with two pending and 48 inconclusive.
At DWM, 3,976 specimens have been collected with 3,312 negative results, one pending and 32 inconclusive.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 3,880 confirmed cases have been reported out of Escambia County. Some 984 specimens have been collected over the last 14 days.
Seventy-four people have died in the county.
The numbers are updated biweekly to help reflect current case numbers from the ECHA. Due to the timing of the informatin, the numbers may differe from the numbers on the ADPH’s website.
Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
