Pride of Atmore officials announced recently that they have received a $100,000 grant from the Daniel Foundation of Alabama.

Maria Kennedy, executive director of the Daniel Foundation of Alabama, said that after analyzing and discussing the Pride of Atmore’s request for a grant to support their arts, culture and community assets, they decided to make a contribution of $100,000.

Pride of Atmore officials said in a release that these funds will be applied to their general construction fund. Additionally, Pride officials said that their hope is that construction will start in either June or July.

The Pride of Atmore continues to write grants and have fund raising events to cover price increases. They also said the support from the Atmore community has been amazing and they appreciate all contributions and donations and encourage the community to partake in their upcoming fund raising events.
