ECHA reports 3 additional cases since May 21

The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced May 25 that 1,621 cases of COVID-19 have been reported out of its two hospitals.
The latest number is an increase of three cases since the May 21 report.
According to a release, 971 (even) cases have been reported out of Atmore Community Hospital, and 650 (plus three) from D.W. McMillan Memorial in Brewton since the last update.
At ACH, 4,762 specimens have been collected, 3,734 have been negative with zero pending and 48 inconclusive.
At DWM, 4,262 specimens have been collected with 3,575 negative results, three pending and 32 inconclusive.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, 3,958 confirmed cases have been reported out of Escambia County. Some 740 specimens have been collected over the last 14 days.
Seventy-seven people have died in the county.
The numbers are updated biweekly to help reflect current case numbers from the ECHA. Due to the timing of the informatin, the numbers may differe from the numbers on the ADPH’s website.
Confirmed cases are recorded by public health officials in the patient’s county of residence.
