An Escambia County High School coach died in a two-vehicle traffic accident Aug. 2 on Cochran Causeway, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Public Affairs Officer Katrina Frazier said in a release that upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim in the car unresponsive.
Frazier said the victim, Kasuan D. Bullard, 39, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Bullard coached football and girls basketball at ECHS.
Frazier said the traffic accident occurred at approximately 10:26 a.m.
“The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was attempting to make a U-turn when his vehicle collided with a dump truck,” Frazier said. “The driver of the dump truck was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
Frazier said this is an ongoing investigation, and updates will be provided as information becomes available.
