Samuel (Sammy) Wayne Garrett, 50, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away on Sept. 6, 2021.

Mr. Garrett was born in Atmore, and resided in Bay Springs, Fla.

He left behind his beloved daughter, Taylor Garrett; grandson, Aden Wayne Garrett; his best friend, Kelly Garrett; mother, Margaret Garrett; father, “Sambo” Garrett; brother, Shane (Jann) Garrett; sister, Tina (Keith) Garrison; nieces, nephews, and many other family members whom he loved dearly.

Sammy’s friends were just as important as family to him. Families including Lewis, Caro, McCullough, Price, Perry, Martin, Gindl, Hall and too many to mention. You know who you are and the Garrett family will continue to value your friendship.

Funeral services will be held at Eastern Gate tomorrow, Sept. 11, 2021 at 1985 W 9 Mile Rd. in Pensacola. Friends are invited to the visitation times of 1 p.m. with service following at 2.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Go Fund Me to assist with the funeral costs.

The family thanks everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers as they grieve during this hard time.
