Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On a gloomy and rainy Saturday, many youngsters were smiling during the Atmore Youth Football League’s (AYFL) games at Escambia County High School.

The local football league, which has been practicing frequently on the big field next to the school, played Andalusia in a regular-season contest.

Given that I’m not an early-morning riser, especially on the weekend, I made it a point to get up in a decent amount of time to drink soime cofee and wake up enough to go take some photos of the early game.

When I got there, I saw nothing but fun, whether it came from the players, coaches, officials and loved ones in the stands.

Having left a short time later because hunger set in, I drove by a couple hours later and the games were still being played.

As I made my way to the store, I thought what fun must have been had as each age group got a chance to play on the gridiron.

I look forward to coming out to future games, where I know fun will be had by all.
