Gerald D. McBride, 71, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away on Sept. 15, 2021 in Walnut Hill.

He was born on June 15, 1950 to the late Bill Douglas and Lula O. Smith McBride.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bobby Taylor and Carolyn Mock; and his first wife Linda McBride.

He is survived by his wife, Gorma Barley McBride of Walnut Hill; one son, Shawn (Carleen) McBride of Atmore; Sandra McBride of Bay Minette; his sister, Patricia (Feldman) Frymire of Atmore; five grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sept. 19, 2021 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Bridges officiating. Interment followed in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Walnut Hill Baptist Church building fund at 5741 Arthur Brown Road, Walnut Hill, FL 32568.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
