The Atmore Police and Fire Department held their first-ever Red, Blue and BBQ event Oct. 9 at Heritage Park.

Participants dined on smoked pulled pork and chicken, along with potato salad, baked beans, macaroni and cheese and desserts from Cafe 251.

According to event officials, 263 plates were sold at the event, and proceeds will go to the Women’s Resource Center of Escambia and IMPACT Mentoring.
