Cougars ranked No. 2 going into playoffs

Escambia Academy is No. 2 in AISA in the final Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football poll, which was released today.

The Cougars defeated Bessemer Academy 64-0 last week, and faces Class 2A, Region 1 No. 3 Edgewood this week in the quarterfinals.

In Class 3A, T.R. Miller is No. 6 as it heads to the postseason.
