Charles W. Rutherford, 89, passed away on Nov. 3, 2021 in Atmore.

He was born on Feb. 29, 1932 in Atmore to Curry Webster and Mattie Lambert Rutherford.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two children, Wayne Rutherford and Terri Anderson; and his siblings, Opal Faircloth, Gene Rutherford, Luree Spence, Clarence Rutherford and Bill Rutherford.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deborah Maddox Rutherford; his daughter, Kristina Rutherford of Atmore; his daughter in law, Stella Rutherford of Poarch; his son in law, Gary Anderson of Atmore; his brother, Dale (Brenda) Rutherford of Atmore; his sister, Glenda (Autrey) Ziglar of Robinsonville; his grandchildren, Chris Rutherford, Brandi Rutherford, Elijah Kimbrel, Noah Kimbrel and Makennah Kimbrel; along with his great-grandchildren, Wyatt (Patricia) Rutherford, Melea (Evan) Graham, Rowdy Rutherford and Sophia Rutherford.

Funeral services were held on Nov. 6, 2021 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Gehman officiating.  Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
