Through a partnership with T-Mobile, the Pride of Atmore donated special edition toys to the Forgotten Initiative on Dec. 3.
The Forgotten Initiative is a national foster care support ministry. The ministry serves 40 advocacy areas around the country, and has been in Escambia County since 2015. At present, TFI is serving 50 children in foster care, 11 agency workers and supervisors, 15 foster families and a host of families receiving preventative services through the department, according to a release.
Each year at Christmas, TFI pairs sponsors with foster children and families receiving services to provide gifts based on their wish list.
The gifts that TFI will receive through the grant awarded from T-Mobile will go to supplement Christmas gift packages and birthday blessings.
