Members of the Montgomery Recruiting Battalion (U.S. Army) held a conference in Atmore this week.
The conference, which was held at Atmore City Hall and the Billy Glenn Rushing American Legion Post 90, was a three-day event covering women’s leadership and recruiting. Station commanders from all over Alabama and the Florida Panhandle attended the training, Sgt. 1st Class Jeffrey Hartman said.
Hartman, along with Lt. Col. Toby Jones, expressed their thanks to the city and the American Legion for their hospitality and friendly welcome.
Mayor Jim Staff received a plaque thanking the city of its support from Jones. Jones also presented a soldier statue and a plaque, thanking the American Legion for its support to Post 90 Commander Dave Graham and Adjutant Paul Chason.
The Montgomery Recruiting Battalion recruits with integrity, high quality men and women, to accomplish our recruiting mission for the Regular Army (RA) and Army Reserve (USAR) while achieving market dominance and ensuring quality of life throughout the battalion.
