Escambia County EMA Director David Adams said the severe weather threat for today in the county has passed.
Adams said there is a slight chance of severe weather tomorrow afternoon and into the evening.
“This may bring isolated severe storms and possibly large hail,” he said.
*Impact 1 – Wednesday Severe Threat
- WHAT: Isolated severe storms capable of producing large hail and localized damaging wind gusts.
- WHEN: Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening.
- WHERE: There is a Slight Risk across most of the region, with the exception of a Marginal Risk across parts of inland SE MS.
- CONFIDENCE: Moderate confidence of strong to severe storms.
In addition, high surf at the beaches will gradually subside through tonight, but breakers at the coast will remain in the 3-4 ft range which will keep the rip current risk high through Thursday.
