Atmore Rotary Club holds annual Benefit Clay Shoot Saturday

Atmore Rotary Club members and clay shooters alike were graced with a beautiful day for the annual Benefit Clay Shoot at Bushy Creek Clays on Saturday.

The Rotary Club’s annual shoot is held to raise funds for the many local projects supported by the club.

The D’s Boys won first place in the Flight 1 division. Team members included Donnie Pritchard, Paul Botter, Thomas Postles and Anthony Montana.

The top shooter in Flight 1 was Montana, who shot a 100 score.

In Flight 2, Atmore Ready Mix won first place. Team members included Donnie Gibson, Dr. Michael Lyons, Chris Ikner and David Snyder.

The top shooter in Flight 2 was Lyons.

Two teams tied for first place in Flight 2, and because Lyons was the top shooter, his team won first.

The second place finisher in Flight 2 was Shirley Darby’s team. Team members included Paul Chason, Eric McCall, Eddie Youngblood and Randy Hendricks.

Some 11 teams participated in the shoot, and Joe Burkel won the shotgun raffle.
