Escambia County High School held its underclassmen awards day today at the school auditorium.

The awards day was for freshmen, sophomores and juniors at the school. The senior class held its awards day May 13.

Special awards and recognition were given to students in Youth Leadership Atmore/Chamber Ambassadors; Rotary Club Academic All-Stars; Peer Helpers; Alabama Girls/Boys State; Southern Pine Youth Tour representatives; Flag Guard; band awards; choral awards; career tech credentials; and dual enrollment.

Sports awards and recognitions were given to student athletes in cheer, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, football, wrestling, volleyball and track and field.

Additionally, classroom and departmental awards were given to students who excelled in the classroom.
