Mrs. Cathy Marie Nelson, 63, passed away on May 24, 2022 in Flomaton.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio, and resided most her life in Century, Fla.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Roger (Maxine Woolver) Scheurell; husband, Jimmy Nelson; and two brothers, Roger Scheurell, and Ronnie Scheurell.
She is survived by her one son, Zach (Lacy) Nelson, of Brewton; two daughters, Amy (Jeremiah) Walston, of Flomaton and Amber (Dennis) Nelson, of McDavid, Fla.; three brothers, Tommy (Rose) Scheurell, of Columbus, Danny (Alana) Scheurell, of Columbus and Tony Scheurell, of Manitowoc, Wisc.; one sister, Marilyn Ellis, of Nelsonville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Caitlyn Nelson, Anna Roberson, Xander Nelson, Somer Nelson, Gabe Nelson, Kendall Redkey, Christopher Fick and Destiny Fick; two great-grandchildren, Lil Frankie Nelson and Brexley Fick-Manners; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held this Fri., May 27, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC.
