Mrs. Sheila Diane Gates, 70, passed away peacefully on Mon., June 13, 2022 at her home in Summerdale surrounded by family at her bedside.

Mrs. Gates is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Berry Vernon Seals and Ms. Dorothy Stewart; and husband, Floyd Geary Gates.

She is survived by her one son, Floyd Geary Gates Jr. and his wife, Glenda Greek, of Bay Minette; one daughter, Sharon Gates, and her husband, Salvador Perez, of Summerdale; one sister, Mary Delores Gaskin, and her husband, Sonny Gaskin, of Stark, Fla.; two grandchildren, Caleb “Kyle” Enfinger and MaKayla Diane Cuenca; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on June 17, 2022, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with the Rev. Ronald Hall officiating.

Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
