Registration for the third session of swimming and diving lessons will be next Mon., July 11, from 5–6 p.m. at the Tom Byrne Park Pool.

Lessons will be July 18 to Aug. 5 with classes being at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. The classes will meet Monday to Friday for one hour each.

There will be no evening classes due to a lack of swimming teachers. Officials said Friday the lack of teachers is due to teachers having other commitments.

“We cannot have the lessons without the needed personnel,” officials said.

Officials added that they feel confident they’ll be back with evening lessons next summer.

Cost for lessons is $45 per student per session. This is the last session for the summer.

Lap swimming is available to the public on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5-6:45 p.m. Cost is admission price.
