2 of the three also arrested on child endangerment charges
Three people, including two from Atmore, were arrested July 12 on drug and child endangerment charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Ethan H. Allen, 48, and Sabrae Hadley, 26, both of Atmore, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, chemical endangerment of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana II. McMann said the chemical endangerment of a child charge was due to children being present while drugs were allegedly being ingested and narcotics left on furniture the children had access to.
Also arrested was Curtis Amerson, 63, of Jay, Fla. Amerson was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMann said on July 12 at approximately 9 p.m., APD narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on West Laurel Street.
“During the search, the investigators discovered a clear crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine,” McMann said. “And a clear glass bulb with a hose attached that is used to ingest narcotics, along with a green leafy substance that field tested positive for marijuana.”
McMann said a digital scale, three clear glass bulbs with residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine and pills were also found.
McMann said Allen, Hadley and Amerson were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
