An Atmore Police Officer was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 31 west near Cindebran Drive today, according to officials.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said that the traffic accident occurred at approximately 10:40 a.m.

McMann said Alabama State Troopers are investigating the circumstances of the accident, and will provide further details upon completion of the investigation.

He said the officer was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
