FHP rules the non motorist violated right of way
An Atmore man was involved in a crash that injured a pedestrian in Escambia County, Fla., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The 22-year-old Atmore man was traveling south on Highway 29 approaching Muscogee Road in the outside lane.
According to the FHP, which doesn’t release names, the non motorist was in the front passenger seat of his wife’s vehicle, and was stopped in the traffic in the inside lane of Highway 29 north of Muscogee Road.
The non motorist attempted to cross the outside lane and right turn lane of Highway 29 in a western direction as vehicle one entered the right lane. The non motorist’s vision was obstructed by a stopped cement truck in the outside lane. The non motorist violated the vehicle’s right of way and this resulted in the front left of Vehicle 1 to collide with the ride side of the non motorist.
