Hwy. 31 blocked near 39-mile marker due to single-vehicle crash

UPDATE: Both lanes are now open, according to ALEA officials.
Both lanes of Highway 31 near the 39-mile marker at the intersection of West Road are blocked due to a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:37 a.m. today, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The lanes will be blocked for an undetermined amount of time. A dump truck hauling pea gravel overturned as a result of the crash.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are currently on scene and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
