A Pensacola, Fla. man with warrants for attempted murder out of Escambia County, Fla., was arrested on fugitive from justice and domestic violence III charges on Oct. 18, according to the Atmore Police Department.
Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said Jason Coleman, 38, of Pensacola, was arrested after APD officers responded at approximately 5:40 a.m. Tuesday to the 100 block of Marshall Avenue in reference to a domestic violence incident.
“When officers arrived, they contacted the victim who had scratches to her neck and arms,” McMann said. “She stated her boyfriend, Jason Coleman, age 38 of Pensacola, Fla., struck her and grabbed her by her neck.”
McMann said after Coleman was taken into custody, officers discovered Coleman was wanted for murder by the Escambia County, Fla. Sheriffs Office.
McMann said Coleman was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton and is awaiting extradition.
