Mrs. Martha Carnley Shivers, 85, passed away on Sat., Oct. 22, 2022 in Pensacola, Fla.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis (Hattie Louise Knowles) Carnley; two brothers, Lewis Carnley Jr. and James Edward Carnley; and one sister, Betty Jean Price.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Joe Shivers Sr., of Flomaton; one son, Joe (Sue) Shivers Jr., of Jay, Fla.; three brothers, Eddie Carnley, of Milton, Fla., Simmie Carnley, of Century, Fla. and Quinton Carnley, of Cantonment, Fla.; two sisters,  Dottie Ladner, of Century and Marie Turk, of Hurley, Miss.; two grandchildren, Philip Shivers, of Jay and Angel Shivers (Terry) Kelley, of Jay; five great-grandchildren, Autumn Shivers, Alex  Shivers, Carson Shivers, Peighton Cobb and Jansen Cobb; numerous nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held this Fri., Oct. 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Hudson officiating.

Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Philip Shivers, Terry Kelley and Jansen Cobb.
