Walnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department holds annual Fish Fry

Walnut Hill Volunteer Fire Department held its 53rd annual Fish Fry fundraiser today at its headquarters on Highway 97.

The fundraiser is held each year to raise funds for equipment and families who may be in need of a donation.

The fire department prepared fresh fish, chicken, homemade rolls, baked beans, cole slaw and dessert.

During the fundraiser, Walnut Hill’s community service, officer of the year and firefighter of the year awards were given.

Melvin Iutzi and Sandra Iutzi were awarded the outstanding community service award; Andrew Peters was named firefighter of the year; and AJ Beachy was named the officer of the year.
