Flomaton’s Stuckey, Averette sign letters of intent with Huntingdon College

Flomaton’s Briana Stuckey and Deontay Averette signed letters of intent to play basketball and football, respectively, to Huntingdon College today.

Stuckey is the daughter of Waylon and Andrea Stuckey, and Averette is the son of Maurice and Sandra Square.

FHS girls basketball coach Nathan Kemp said Stuckey hustled and was tough as nails on the hardwood.

‘”Every year, she would work her butt off,” Kemp said. “She refused to be outworked.”

For FHS head football coach Doug Vickery, coaching Averette was a treat. He said Averette’s going to a Division 3 program that has one of the best cultures around.
