Gilmore hits walk-off three-run triple, Lady Chiefs top T.R. Miller 13-12

Gilmore was celebrating Thursday night after helping lead the Lady Chiefs to a 13-12 victory over T.R. Miller with a three-run walk-off triple in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Gilmore’s game-winning hit came with two outs, and after singles from Mary-Clayton Dawson and Chloe Ragsdale, a walk from Kendall Alvare and an 0-and-2 count.
The Lady Chiefs took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, and led 5-2 after the third.
TRM added four runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth to lead 11-5 comfortably going into the sixth.
NHS scored four runs each in the sixth and seventh innings.
In the sixth, Allison Flowers singled; Makayla Golson and Berklee Hall walked; and Dawson was hit by a pitch to score Flowers. Golson and Hall scored on a two-run Ragsdale double, and Dawson scored on an error.
Gilmore went 3-for-4 with four RBIs to lead NHS; and Ragsdale went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs.
TRM’s Meg Fountain went 2-for-5 with three runs; Kylee Walton went 2-for-5; Peyton Myrick went 2-for-4; and Belle Walker went 3-for-4.
