CACC to host disaster drill on Monroeville campus March 31

Coastal Alabama Community College will host an explosion disaster drill on the Monroeville Campus this Fri., March 31, according to a release.

The exercise will provide critical training to emergency responders, including the College’s Nursing Department, the Coastal Alabama Police Department, Monroeville Fire Department, Monroeville Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and 911, Alabama Trauma Communications Center, Monroe County Hospital, University Hospital, Alabama Department of Public Health, Monroe County Coroner, Clarke County Coroner, Monroe County EMA, Conecuh County EMA, Escambia County EMA, ASAP Ambulance and Life Saver 5 Evergreen.

Smoke and emergency response vehicles will be present during this drill.

The exercise will take place between 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday at Nettles Auditorium (N) and the Allied Health Building (C).

Participating agencies will debrief after the event on the Monroeville Campus.
