Atmore man, woman arrested April 14 on drug charges

An Atmore man and woman were arrested April 14 on drug charges, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said just after midnight on April 14, an APD officer observed a vehicle on Highway 21 with a headlight out.

“The officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Terri Stabler, 42, of Atmore and Earl Dortch, 65, of Atmore,” McMann said. “The officer was given consent to search the vehicle and discovered amphetamine pills.”

Dortch and Stabler were arrested and both were charged possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
