Atmore man arrested on drug charges

An Atmore man was arrested on drug charges April 17, according to officials.

Atmore Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Antwan Rollin, 46, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McMann said that at approximately 2:15 a.m. on April 17, an APD officer observed a person wearing black clothing allegedly looking into the window of a closed business. The officer contacted Rollin, he said.

“The officer searched Rollin and found a glass pipe in his pocket with a white crystal-like residue that field tested for methamphetamine,” McMann said.

Rollin was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton. Additionally, Rollin had outstanding arrest warrants with Loxley Police Department for failure to appear and with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear.
