ACF gives more than $3K back to community

The Atmore Community Foundation, an affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama, is pleased to announce that $3,330 has been awarded to four organizations in the Atmore Community.

The Atmore Community Foundation Advisory Committee, comprised of local community members and leaders, plays a key role in the competitive grantmaking process for the Foundation. For this grant cycle, they accepted applications from organizations that address the needs of the community and strive to improve the quality of life of Atmore residents, including but not limited to the following areas: Arts & Culture, Community/Economic Development, Education, Environment/Beautification, Health & Wellness, Human Services, Recreation, Technology, &/or Youth.

Main Street Atmore Foundation, Prima Girl, Pride of Atmore, and United Fund Atmore received grant awards from the Atmore Community Fund.

“The Atmore Community Foundation has made positive impacts in the Atmore community for the past six years,” said Audrey Moon, chair of the Advisory Committee. “We are cognizant of the needs of our local residents, and we are determined to support organizations that strive to improve the quality of life in Atmore.”

 

The Atmore Community Foundation was established in April 2017 to make a lasting impact on the Atmore community. The Foundation established the Atmore Community Fund as a vehicle to receive donations and bequests to benefit the community.
