NHS beats Lady Devils 17-6 Thursday night, advance to Elite Eight Tuesday

Northview’s Lady Chiefs scored 10 runs in the seventh inning and beat Holmes County, Fla. 17-6 in a FHSAA Class 1A Regional Semifinal Thursday night in Bonifay.

By the time of the 10-run inning, the Lady Chiefs led HCHS 7-6.

Aubrey Stuckey went 4-for-4 with two RBIS and two runs to lead NHS. Emma Gilmore went 3-for-5 with two RBIs; Chloe Ragsdale went 2-for-5 with six RBIs; Allison Flowers went 2-for-3 with two RBIs; and Mary-clayton Dawson went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Kendall Alvare and Rylee Brooks had one hit each. Brooks added two RBIs in the win.

Stuckey struck out two and allowed no runs on two hits in 3.0 innings to earn the win in the circle. Jamison Gilman put in a good effort, striking out two and allowed six runs on nine hits.

With the victory, the Lady Chiefs advance to the regional final next Tues., May 16, where they’ll face Jay at JHS.

First pitch is at 7 p.m.
