Pensacola, Fla. woman arrested on distribution of controlled substance charge

A Pensacola, Fla. woman was arrested May 31 on distribution charges, according to the Atmore Police Department.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Sydni Weatherholtz, 30, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

McMann said at approximately 7:35 on the night of the arrest, APD narcotics agents conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle, which Weatherholtz was a passenger, fail to signal while turning onto Highway 21.

“While speaking with Weatherholtz, an officer noticed a strange bulge in her pants,” McMann said. “Upon further investigation, Weatherholtz was in possession of approximately 14 grams of a clear crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.”

Weatherholtz was then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
