Mr. Eddie Leon Mooney, 66, of Oak Grove, Fla., passed away on June 30, 2023 in Pensacola, Fla.

He was born on February 25, 1957 to Freddy Leon Mooney and Joan Reneé Milstead Mooney.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Freddy Leon Mooney and Joan Reneé Mooney; and his grandparents, Everett Mooney, Odie Mooney, Frankie Leslie Milstead and Beatrice Milstead.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 39 years, Eunice Marie Mooney; his two sons, Eddie Leslie Mooney of McDavid, Fla. and Casey Leon Mooney of Oak Grove; his daughter, Miranda Danielle Mooney of Davisville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Landon Mooney, Hayden Mooney, Chloe Hyatt and Nolan Mooney; and his stepmom, Betty Mooney.

Funeral services will be held this Sat., July 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Landon Mooney, Nolan Mooney, Hayden Mooney, James Morris, Jacob Coon, Tim Davis and Bryan Ballard.

Visitation will be held on July 8, 2023 from 10 a.m. until service time at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore.
