Albritton to submit weekly column

Atmore resident and Nokomis, Fla. native Lloyd Albritton will be presenting a weekly editorial feature in the Atmore Advance.

Albritton has called Atmore home for more than 75 years, and has written and published two books, a fictional drama set in Atmore called “Baby Blue;” a collection of short stories and poems entitled “The Albritton Letters;” and editorials and stories for several newspapers and magazines.

Albritton served in the U. S. Marine Corps and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He is retired from a career in business, but continues to stay busy with exciting projects, including a YouTube podcast called Lloyd and Friends, Interesting Conversations With Interesting People, featuring personal interviews with many of Atmore’s prominent citizens.

He hold a master’s degree in consulting psychology and has taught psychology as an adjunct instructor at Jefferson Davis and Coastal Alabama Community for many years on Brewton, Atmore and Bay Minette campuses.

Albritton is also a licensed Alabama private investigator, and his current in-progress writing project will feature the fictional adventures of a retired private investigator.
