APD investigating Aug. 24 Brooks Lane shots fired call

The Atmore Police Department is seeking information on a shots fired call that occurred Aug. 24 at a residence on Brooks Lane.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that at approximately 8:55 p.m. Friday, APD officers responded to the 100 block of Brooks Lane in reference to shots fired.

When the officers arrived, they discovered a residence had been struck by gunfire and one victim was injured with non-life-threatening injuries,” McMann said. “The victim was treated and released from a medical facility.”

McMann said the officers found the location of where the shots were fired from, and received assistance from the Alabama Department of Corrections K-9 unit.

“The victim did not see the suspect(s) and no witnesses were in the vicinity,” he said. “Investigators are pursuing leads and request anyone with information to contact the Atmore Police Department.”
