APD seeking whereabouts of man linked to multiple threats in area

The Atmore Police Department is seeking information on a local man who is linked to multiple thefts that occurred between Sept. 11-12.
According to the APD’s Facebook page, investigators have reviewed multiple CCTV cameras and have identified the person in the film as Mario Mendez.
“Various Items from weapons and other property have been stolen,” APD officials said. “If you know the location of Mendez, we request that no contact is made and you notify your local law enforcement agency. Mendez is presumed to be armed and dangerous due to the items stolen from various properties.”
Those with information on Mendez’s whereabouts are asked to contact the APD at 251-368-9141.
