Manager Victoria Alanis said the new restaurant will pay tribute to the former Dean’s Grill.

“We’re keeping everything the same, and not do anything different,” Alanis said. “The only thing we did was take off a few items that weren’t selling. A lot of people have been asking. We’re keeping all of the ice creams and the shakes.”

Alanis said her uncle, Benny, and mother, Inez Alanis, wanted something for them as a family to come together, to have somewhere to work and just enjoy it.

“It’s not going to be really an ‘oh my gosh, I have to work.’ We’re trying to make it a fun environment for the family, and for the people working here.”

Alanis added they are keeping some of the same employees of the former Dean’s Grill.

Atmore Grill will be offering the same menu items as Dean’s Grill.

“We’re keeping the same burgers, hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, chili cheese fries, ice cream banana splits and milk shakes,” Alanis said.

Alanis said the name of the restaurant came as a result of the Dean’s Grill name coming from the former owners.

“Whenever they sold the grill, they kind of took their name with them,” she said. “We were fine with that. As long as we can keep the same food, in the same order and the same inventory before, it’ll always be Dean’s Grill of Atmore, of course.

Benny said his why on opening Atmore Grill was because he really liked Dean’s.

“I wanted to keep it in the area,” he said. “I loved their burgers. We just wanted to have it back in Atmore.”

Located at 400 N. Main St., Atmore Grill’s hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
