The Atmore VFW Auxiliary 7016 donated 300 stuffed animals to first responders in the Atmore area. Shown above are Atmore VFW Auxiliary’s Jenny Hutto and Jackey Odom with Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks. Brooks said these toys will help the APD on domestic calls and shootings when children are present. “We want them to run to us, not from us,” Brooks said. The auxiliary also donated stuff animals to the Atmore Fire Department, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, MedStar Ambulance, Poarch Police and Fire Departments and the Flomaton Police Department.
