Atmore police officials have developed a person of interest relating to a shooting that occurred on Brooks Lane Oct. 24.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that at approximately 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, APD officers responded to Atmore Community Hospital in reference to a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

“The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury,” McMann said. “After speaking with the victim, the officers responded to the 100 block of Brooks Lane and found the crime scene. The on-call investigator responded and collected the evidence.”

McMann said the investigator developed a person of interest.

This case is under investigation by the APD, and more information will be posted.
