The Atmore VFW Auxiliary 7016 held its annual Veterans Day Breakfast Nov. 10 at Nett’s Kitchen.

VFW officials said they served 54 veterans today.

Additionally, VFW officials said veterans were waiting at 6:30 a.m. while they were setting up for the breakfast.

Each veteran received a homemade gift, pen and flag.

Those veterans who didn’t make it weren’t left out as T-shirts were delivered to them at a local nursing home.
