Atmore man, woman arrested on drug charges

APD narcotics agents executed a search warrant on the 10 block of Sims Street Nov. 27

An Atmore man and woman were arrested Nov. 27 on drug charges, according to officials.

Atmore Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a release that Devon Pace, 40, and Stephany Rice, 27, were arrested and charged with unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McMann said the arrests stems after APD narcotics agents executed a search warrant in the 10 block of Sims Street on the day of the arrest. The warrant was executed at approximately 4:15 p.m.

“During the search of the residence, officers recovered over 10 grams of methamphetamine, over 50 grams of synthetic cannabis, small amount of marijuana, a scale, a grinder and numerous plastic baggies and sandwich bags, which are commonly used to distribute narcotics,” McMann said.

McMann said Pace and Rice were then transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
