St. Andrew’s Anglican Catholic Church will hold Christmas Eve services Dec. 24, according to Fr. Keith Bernarducci.
The services include a Festival of Christmas Lessons and Carols at 6 p.m., and then a Christmas Eve Midnight Mass at midnight.
“Join us to enjoy nine Biblical lessons and help us sing 10 Christmas carols,” Bernarducci said. “Our celebration includes congregational candlelight carols and a recessional.”
Bernarducci said the midnight service, a new service for the church, will include Holy Communion.
“Recent and ongoing situations within other Christian and Catholic churches are leaving some of their members confused, shocked, unsure and questioning their faith or their church,” Bernarducci said. “The Anglican Catholic Church continues to hold fast to the biblical teaching and theology taught by Jesus Christ and the original church fathers.”
Bernarducci added that if you’re a member of any other church or have never been to a church, and wish to uplift your spirit in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, you’re more than welcome to attend the services or anytime.
St. Andrew’s is located at 1101 E. Presley St., Atmore, AL 36502.
Additionally, First United Methodist Church of Atmore and First Baptist Church of Atmore are holding Christmas Eve services.
The service at FUMC will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary, and includes the Christmas Eve communion service for 2023.
At FBC, a special gathering time for the whole family will be held as the worship service includes word, song and celebration of the Lord’s Supper together on Dec. 24.
