A wind advisory has been issued for Atmore today from 4 p.m. until Jan. 9 at 6 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

According to the NWS, wind could gust as high as 35 miles per hour today. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.

Tonight’s forecast calls for severe thunderstorms and windy conditions. The chance of precipitation tonight is 100 percent. Winds could gust as high as 45 miles per hour.

Then, on Tuesday, showers and possibly a thunderstorm are forecasted before 9 a.m. Some of the storms could be severe. The temperature will fall to around 53 by 5 p.m., according to the NWS.

Wind gusts could reach as high as 40 miles per hour, and the chance of precipitation is at 80 percent.

Tuesday night’s forecast calls for mostly clear weather with a low around 33 degrees.
