West Escambia Utilities announced today that an overflow occurred at the wastewater plant that reached Boggy Branch on Jan. 9, 2024.

WEU officials said even though the location is non-public, the Alabama Department of Evironmental Management requires them to notify the public if discharge enters a body of water.
